Bonaire Help Desk is a free service of International Bible Church of Bonaire. We do this because we believe in the joy of serving others, no strings attached.

When you contact us, you'll be dealing with a real person who is ready to help you with any issue related to your visit to the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire. No more slogging through hundreds of web pages that give lots of information without telling you exactly what you want to know.

Our Founders

Doug Searle

In addition to running Bonaire Help Desk, Doug is the Pastor of International Bible Church of Bonaire. Before moving to Bonaire in fall of 2013, Doug was a regular visitor for many years. He knows what it's like to find a place to stay or a car to drive.

Doug also serves as the English-language counselor for the Bonaire Police Department's victims assistance program and as Warden for the U.S. Consulate for the Dutch Caribbean (located in Curacao). Wardens assist consular sections in disaster preparedness by alerting U.S. citizens to emergency situations and passing on information from the Consulate. If you are an American Citizen visiting or residing in Bonaire, and you need Consular services, please visit the U.S. Consulate Citizen Services web page. If you have ANY emergency while you're here in Bonaire, and you just need someone to be around to help out, please call Doug at 717-8332 or 780-2864, or email doug@bonairehelpdesk.com.

Michael Gaynor

Michael was a Bonaire fixture. Many knew him as the proprietor of Chat n Browse, which wasn't just an internet cafe; it was the place to go if you had a question about where to find something or how to get something done here in Bonaire.

Michael never heard about a problem without helping out. He was the unofficial concierge of Bonaire for a long time, and after Chat n Browse closed, he kept right on helping here at Bonaire Help Desk. Now that Michael's gone, we hope to carry on that great Good Samaritan tradition that he exemplified so well.
